The Kadet K300NB 5G Business Router is built for one fixed location. The Spark K500A 5G Business Router adds two SIMs with automatic failover and up to 8 hours of battery backup, for backup lines, businesses and busy homes. Both support up to 200 devices.
The unlimited plans run on 5G and need a 5G router (the Kadet or the Spark). The data plans — Home Lite, Home and Business Internet Lite — work with a 4G LTE router too, which costs less to buy or rent. Not sure? Pick the plan first and the order page shows the routers that fit it.
Your Mac5G router makes the Wi-Fi; an eero unit carries it farther. Plug the eero into the router and it becomes the Wi-Fi for the house, with more units for more floors. It works with any Mac5G router, bought or rented, and you can rent the eero with your service or buy it outright.
Buying costs more up front and the router is yours. Renting is $14.99 a month for any router or eero unit, and the equipment goes back when service ends. Either way, the internet plan is billed separately.
Only if you need them. An indoor window antenna helps where the 5G signal is weak; a Wi-Fi extender or a mesh unit carries Wi-Fi to far rooms and extra floors.
